We went to Maine last summer, over the 4th of July. Acadia National Park. Sat there by the water and watched the fireworks over the bay. I doubt I will ever see fireworks that beautiful again. If you can, go! Their 4th of July picnic, in the city park, was lobsters galore. Even the 2 year olds were walking around with a lobster on a big paper plate. Unbelieveable site.
Bev, I've made Randy promise me that we're going to do either a driving tour of New England, or a train trip (my preference). I want that for my 40th birthday...only 18 months to go!
Maine was off mine, but my dad informed me that I was there for 3 days as a baby. I still want to get there "for real," and I, too, think I will make it.
