What's on My Nightstand: April

What's On Your Nightstand

As usual, my basket of books to be read overfloweth...and I mean SERIOUSLY overfloweth! Keeping last month's disclaimer in mind, here's a look at what's inside:

Non-Fiction:

~The Bare Bones Bible Handbook for Teens by Jim George. I've never read anything by Mr. George, but I adore his wife, Elizabeth. I've already peeked inside, and it looks like a terrific resource. I can't wait to read more.

~Misplacing God: And Finding Him Again by my blogging buddy, Joanne Heim. I love, love, love Joanne.

~The Mission-Minded Family by Ann Dunagan. R and I have both participated in missions trips over the years, but always as singles. One of my heart's desires is for our family to go on mission together.

Fiction:

~Shelter Me by Juliette Fay.

~The Missionary by William Carmichael

~Breach of Trust by DiAnn Mills.

~At the Scent of Water by Linda Nichols

You can click on over to 5 Minutes for Books to see what others are reading, and to leave your own list.

Interesting books and I've not heard of any of them. Off to Amazon to look them up. :)

I really liked Breach of Trust. I can't wait for the second book to come out. It reminded of books by Dee Henderson who is my all time favorite author.

I want to read "Breach of Trust", too. It's farther down on my list, but maybe I'll have to move it up. I'm also into Linda Nichols' books. I'm just toward the end of "If I Gained the World". I don't like it as much as "Searching For Eden" in which I balled my eyes out at the end. You'll have to let us know if you like the one you're reading now.

Since you're a reader, I wanted to invite you to add links to your reviews to the Saturday Review of Books at Semicolon each Saturday. And then peruse the reviews of other bloggers

It never ceases to amaze me how many different books and authors there are for us to read. :) I haven't heard of some of the books on your list - have to check into them!

I enjoyed At The Scent of Water when I read it (several years ago now).
